Some of Ark Royal’s crew stretching their legs ashore on Mytilene during the ship’s visit in early November 1915. They share the road with what appears to be a mounted Greek official in the foreground, while following the men is a local wagon.
More than a century later, little has changed apart from the traffic, as can be seen from the link provided by Adrian Wright.
