Ark Royal’s log for that day records that a party of seamen and mechanics under Lieutenant Pulford left the ship at 7:00 am to strike the seaplane base.

The working party must have worked fast, as Ark Royal sailed from Kephalo at 11:30 pm that same night for Mudros, with many of the other members of the ship’s company having been, “employed in preparing ship for sea & embarking gear & surplus stores for Seaplane Base” throughout the day.
